Today, I was walking my husky when she saw a cat and bolted toward it. I couldn't let go of the leash because my hand was tangled up. Forced to run along, I ran into a parked van at full sprint. I lost my dog, broke two ribs and have to pay for the dent in the van. FML

sidebars aside, you should not be walking an animal you cant control. buy yourself a sloth or something.

wow. this is totally FML worthy. hope you get better soon & get your dog back =]

Um...when you have a dog as big as a husky, it's really easy for the dog to run off with you still attached to the leash. When they get something in their head that triggers their natural instincts, they're pretty much unstoppable even if very well-trained. I've done construction work and am respectably strong, and I've had dogs run off with me. Get well soon! Hope you find your dog!

Getting sick of the comments... The only people acting like know-it-alls have never owned or walked a husky. "OMG lyke train ur dog noob". F off, dont say a THING til you own one. I havent seen a single comment yet from a person that owned one that said the dog wasn't capable of getting out of control. They're very smart, but stubborn and wiley, therefore REALLY hard to train.

1. Heal fast 2. Do not ever tie anything around body parts that could put sudden or strong weight or tug on said body part. This goes for leashes, ropes courses, water skiing, etc. 3. Hope your dog found you 4. Train your dog better - it's not about being able to control your dog, you were just caught off guard; training solves the problem I hope you're doing better now. Good luck in the future!

i think regardless of the size of the dog, you should be able to handle walking your own dog. The dog needs to learn that you are the leader or else he'll just do whatever he wants. you need to stop and discipline him the very millisecond he gets distracted by something else. don't wait until he starts chasing. sorry that happened though. good luck in the future.

This is a true FML through and through!! And #1 wtf? have you ever held the leash of a husky on a mission?
