Thanks for the advise, #103, but having seen the razor tried by women of my family (yep, it's in the blood. I'm led to believe all my female ancestors had "great personalities" and possibly very drunk husbands), it still looks like you have facial hair - the same way a man looks unshaved at the end of the day, because of the black dots. And you can't wax such short hair out, it would be waaaayyy to easy. :) Epilation is better, it's just an issue when you have a sensitive skin.
There is no sensitive way to say something like that to a woman. I feel for you.
You people do know both males and females have body hair, right? Even on their face? Men's facial hair just tends to be coarser than women's facial hair. And just because one doesn't shave every last bit of it off doesn't mean one has bad hygine-- some people just have sensitive skin and razors are hell on it. Also, some people do have facial hair because of medical issues. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome can cause facial hair... and that's really not something one can help. Oi, what a crappy situation. The boss should be the one to do that... methinks s/he just doesn't want to be the one getting bitchslapped for being stupid.
#106, it's not really being stupid if it's company policy. If the men are required to shave, then so should the women. That's just simple equality. Whether or not this is just a case of the boss trying to get someone else to take the heat...that depends on whether it's usually the shift manager's job to relay such instructions, whether to men or women.
awkward......
haha!! one time while working at a local coffee shop my boss made me tell a coworker to stop scratching his balls behind the counter
You shouldn't discriminate because she's a women. I don't know I try not to be sexist, but I end up being it anyways.
I'm sure that went well...
