Today, I was working as the shift manager at my job at a fast food restaurant. Our company policy states that all employees must be clean shaven before coming to work. I had to inform one of the employees, Kris, that they had to shave before clocking in. Kris is a woman. FML

Today, a customer came in to the Pizza store where I work and complained that the food they had purchased had a strand of black hair in it. After some deliberation, my boss decided to fire me. He is the only staff member there with black hair. I shaved my hair 2 weeks ago. FML

Today, the district manager visited. Also today, I got called into the office to talk about "personal hygiene". The assistant store manager asked me if I had some kind of medical problem and advised me to shower regularly because my co-workers have been making comments. FML

Today, my boss told me to cut my long hair. After coming back to work with a clean cut hairstyle, he apparently thought I was the new guy, and said I was going to be trained by "The long-haired girly-looking idiot." FML

Today, I went to a restaurant for lunch. I began to eat when I noticed a blond hair in my food. When that happened, I went up to the counter and began complaining about their hygiene. When the manager insisted no one that works there had long blond hair, I realized that it was my hair. FML

Today, I had a morning shift at the restaurant and didn't feel like wearing makeup. I was energetic and greeted everyone happily, but my manager told me I looked tired. I said, "Oh no I'm just not wearing makeup!" He said, "Well, you might need it." FML

Today, I woke up late for a job interview. I hadn't shaved in six days, but figuring I could do so en route, I grabbed my electric razor and ran for the bus. While shaving, the razor's battery died midway through, leaving me to attend the job interview with a Miami Vice scruff on half my face. FML

you know that it is illegal for them to make you shave. they cant tell women they have to have short hair. and if the excuse is that it is against food safety rules that is why they make the face net things. its like a hairnet for beards

#5-it's about appearance, some places want to convey a clean look and a wild beard does not exactly do that. and yeah short hairs can fall out just as easily as long hairs can. it's not about "dangling into the food", it's about "humans shed and hairs fall out without us realizing" chick-fil-a is really big about conveying a clean cut apperance. no tattoos or piercings besides ear lobes (if you have them you have to remove them), if your hair touches your shoulders it must be up in a pony tail unless you're a guy then you just plain can't have long hair. no facial hair unless it's a cleanly trimmed moustache. it's pretty uptight.

#5 don't be so ignorant, short hair falls out just like long hair does. most fast food companies that have rules like this do it to upkeep their appearance. ever heard of chick-fil-a? yeah, i work there, trust me. most uptight place about apperance EVER. guys can't have long hair, girls with long hair MUST wear it up, no extra piercings (just earlobes), no tattoos, no crazy hair colors, no long nails, MUST shave facial hair, etc. to the op, this sucks man, but if it was so obvious that a SHE needed a shave, well that's kinda gross. women should not have facial hair. i understand you can't control how your hair grows but she is probably ... hopefully smart enough to realize she has hair growing out of her face and the fact she didn't do anything about it is kinda gross.

aweee thats so sad. i'm a girl and i have really hairy arms :/ but no facial hair! woot! i feel bad for her :( and you :( no one should be put in that position. stuff like that is really a blow to the self esteem.
