Today, I was working customer service at a large grocery store. I recently got a small, tasteful septum piercing that is barely visible. As I greeted a customer, she began to gag, held out her hand as though she was fending me off, and said, "I can't. Your nose ring makes me sick." FML

Definitely not. Whenever I see one I imagine a bull stamping it's hoof.

I like mine and the horse shoe design makes it super easy to turn up and hide so no one can see it at all.

Well at least this lady wasn't being PC and she spoke her mind. Sometimes crap in people's face does look gross. She was a little harsh the way she reacted and she could have used more tact I agree. Why can't we say shit to people anymore without upsetting do-gooders, that's the problems these days everyone is so PC and afraid of insulting everyone no one can speak what the feel anymore. If you wanna wear piercings that everyone's right and personal choice. If someone wants to say it looks awesome then great, just as equally if someone wants to say they don't like it then well done to them for being honest. Just feel free to insult them back I say.

pretty sure not being a total ass about what someone else does with their body is just being a decent person, not sure why you had to go all "you darn PC liberals" about it.

You must be really popular since you tell every person you meet what you don't like about their hair, clothes, shoes, facial hair etc. Oh and btw that hat you wear in your profile pic makes you ugly, I've never liked them. And those huge backpacks? Hello quasimodo.

It's not being PC. It's just having some damn respect for your fellow peers.

Haha, I was obviously making fun of his comment, that everyone should feel free to express their opinions on other people without them getting hurt.

I agree with 45. Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean everyone has to hear it. Who cares what you think? Why does a random stranger give two ***** about what you think of them? Going out of your way to make someone else feel bad makes you a shitty person. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it.

Yes you are right those hats do make people look like dicks. But they are practical when exercising so I'm prepared to look like a dick and I'm happy for you to remind me. I can also live with the backpack comment. I don't wear one unless I need to.

I couldn't agree more. And douche lashing out by making comments is probably just that. People are such pansy ass whine babies. "We have to agree one everything that I deem important " Septum piercings are gross. So are a bunch of other ones in your face. I also think that the hoops nose rings look trashy. This all coming from a woman with 4 tattoos and 2 piercings. We don't all agree. Also, maybe the woman just couldn't help it. Alot of things make me gag. Which my goofball BF likes to take advantage of. The book bag and hat make sense. lol Depends on your knowledge of running as a sport. Where as a septum piercing in unnecessary and creepy.

I'd probably gag, too.... It's called an IN-voluntary reflex!

Their reaction was uncalled for but a septum piercing isn't tasteful, ever. Much less professional, you didn't deserve her attitude though.

Wow...judgmental, immaturity at it's finest.

I have a septum piercing and I love it, don't listen to her OP :)

Hey! Exactly like me, OP! I actually had someone on this site directly tell me my septum piercing is nasty. I don't care, it was the best piercing I've decided to get, and my significant other loves it. We don't live to please them! <3

That's great that you have that kind of attitude! And yay for the septum piercing! I personally love them

I miss mine! It's on my list of things I need to do. Unfortunately I took mine out for an ex who hated it.

She's just rude. I know many people don't like them, but I love mine. I never wear it down at work though because I know it's not a professional thing to do since so many people don't think they're tasteful. It's sad, but people do immediately judge you for it. Their loss.
