Today, I was working the lighting for a drama production. In the last scene, two characters realize they are in love and kiss, then the stage goes dark. I mixed up my settings, and instead of a blackout, flashing party lights started going off. 300 people turn around to stare at me. FML

Sounds like something I'd do... except it wouldn't be an accident. UnceUnceUnceUnceUnceUnceUnce If I was onstage, I'd most likely start dancing.

ooh..that sucks. im a sound techie at my high school. well..mainly sound, i can do lights too. something like that happened to me before. my laptop was falling a sleep so i hit the mouse pad thing, and the sound effect went off. it was totally embarassing.

I do lights at my school too and I've never done that. Hopefully I won't have a story like that. fyl.

yikes, that's pretty bad, but i've been there. working lights sucks cuz it's practically impossible to mess up without everyone noticing. don't feel too bad.

That stinks! I work the lights at the drama production at my school as well, and I've had my fair share of messups. Don't feel bad - At least you didn't totally miss your cue and leave a bunch of people in the dark as they sang... like I did. X_X

Hahahahaha that's awesome!! And easy to fix... you said it was the LAST scene, right? Just play it off as the beginning of the finale! :)

lmao i dunno, that sounds pretty damn awesome. the actors/actresses should've just played along and started having a badass rave onstage.

Yes, usually pressing GO doesn't allow for much mishaps in cues. But, these boards are computer based. This means files can become corrupted or not saved correctly, resulting in errors.
