Today, I went bowling. I noticed a 10-year-old holding an iPod Touch which had the exact same customized case with my name on it as my iPod that was stolen a year ago at the same bowling centre. Even better, the parents yelled at me for accusing him. I got kicked out the bowling centre. FML

Should have not simply accused him just taken it without saying anything and left. Hopefully they wouldn't call the cops, but if they did you could show them the ipod with your name on it and your id. Perhaps they'd believe you. But I guess that advice won't do much good for you now. *sigh* Karma will likely kick that kid in the balls.

It wouldn't really matter to me if I had the money to buy another one. It's the principle of the situation that bugs me. It's the fact that the child, or the parents, STOLE my property.

He stole the ipod a year go. iOS 6 just came out a few months ago. How could he be loading a software that was not yet released onto the iPod?

You should've called the police. It would be very easy to prove that the iPod was yours especially if you kept your receipts. The store you bought it at can also assist with the identification.

Those parents should be ashamed of themselves that they failed to teach their child that stealing is wrong and that they failed to notice that their 10 year old was carrying around an iPod with a case with was personalized with presumably someone else's name. What horseshit. I hope this gets figured out.

I think it would have been better if you bowled using the child. Just grab him by the nostrils and toss him towards the pins. Maybe that would have jogged his memory. Sorry for your existence in such a backstabbing, unethical community, OP.but do remember just because you got kicked out doesn't mean you can't wait for them outside with a police officer.
