Today, I went for a jog. I had stopped at an intersection to let a car go by. The car stopped and the driver waved me on, so I started jogging again. After a few steps, I feel a sharp pain in my side, then wake up in the hospital. The driver 'accidentally' hit the gas. FML

To all, thanks for your concern. Don't worry, I'm fine, it was just a bad concussion when I hit the ground that knocked me out. I hope I don't disappoint anybody, but I am not going to sue. A few years in jail ought to be enough for the driver- it was a drunk. Luckily, there was a black and white across the street and got the driver in time. Again, thank you all for your concerns.

How can a driver press the gas so hard that it would actually cause the car to move and hit you hard enough to knock you out. This does not make any sense to me. Sorry I am over analyzing! I hope you are alright. ^^

How do you go from stop to accidentally hitting the gas? I would say this was a second driver that didnt see you. Hope ya feel better

When you're jogging around in like, let's say a more rural area?, the cars don't all stop exactly at the stop light. There might be some space before the crosswalk. For example, any of you living in this particular area of California, at the Kaleidoscope (this is near the Aliso Viejo Mall), you can walk over to the Aliso Viejo Mall. Of course, you have to walk over a street in the process, and there is definitely more than ten feet from the crosswalk where the cars all stop. Oh wait-I forgot this isn't at a stoplight xD. I'm not gonna erase that entire thing I just typed out, but it's just a thought that could maybe be considered? But anyways, hope you're okay, OP!
