Today, I went for a jog. I had stopped at an intersection to let a car go by. The car stopped and the driver waved me on, so I started jogging again. After a few steps, I feel a sharp pain in my side, then wake up in the hospital. The driver 'accidentally' hit the gas. FML

To all, thanks for your concern. Don't worry, I'm fine, it was just a bad concussion when I hit the ground that knocked me out. I hope I don't disappoint anybody, but I am not going to sue. A few years in jail ought to be enough for the driver- it was a drunk. Luckily, there was a black and white across the street and got the driver in time. Again, thank you all for your concerns.

I would totally sue. If you were crossing at an intersection, chances are you were crossing at a crosswalk. That being said it's the law to stop for a pedestrian at a crosswalk. Plus he waved you on. The freak totally deserves it.

Whenever somebody waves me through when it's their turn, I just give them the finger. Traffic safety rules are there to promote safety. If they don't understand that it's their turn, they've proven themselves incompetent, so I'd rather not trust them with my safety.

The chances of being in a car accident are 30% however that's while driving so i guess it would be more like 5% or 10% if your walking/jogging which means that F-ing sucks.

Omgoodness. That happened to me too. Guy waved me to go by. We made eye contact, he waved his hand. It was unmistakable. Then as soon as I was right in front of his car he hits me with it. Then I go up to his window pissed and he plays DUMB. He goes "Oh my, what just happened there." I told him "Well I believe you just HIT ME." Then he goes, is anything broken? And well I was getting pissed and said "NO BUT YOU HIT ME, AND I DON'T HEAR YOU SAYING SORRY." I swearrrr it was intentional. Just the way he was acting. It was at my school too. The next day people started asking me "did you get hit by a car?" Well luckily I just got some bruising.. But yeah. It's really stupid how there are drivers like that..
