Today, I went swimming in a pond. I came out covered in leeches. Terrified, I screamed, flailed about and cried out for help until half a dozen people ran over. One of them was kind enough to point out that those leeches I was so afraid of were actually patches of mud. FML

Chill. If it had been actual leeches, all you had to do was pull them off. No big deal.

Actually, most leeches have a special thing where they can leech off someone without the person or animal feeling anything

I felt sorry for you until you said 'swimming in a pond'. If you were scared of leeches, why did you go swimming in a pond?
