best of luck to you. i worry for your credit score.
You can get either of those with your birth certificate, which does not require any form of ID to get. You just need to know where you were born!
Why would you keep your SS card in your wallet? YDI.
What the hell is the deal with the comments being buried? And yeah, that sucks... but you shouldn't of had your social security card in your wallet...
Hopefully you know how to read. That way when you get your new social security card you can read the information card they put in there that says you should NEVER keep it in your wallet. :) YDI
Well, yeah, but what if you're starting a new job or something? You have to have both your ID and your social security card. Then you forget to take your social security card out or have your purse/wallet stolen before you have a chance to take it out. That's what happened to me. I lost my purse while I was out doing job searching, so my social and my ID were both in there.
So many negative votes? Is Anon trolling us for the lulz?
Ugh, I know, I had that happen to me. And in Ohio, you can't use your birth certificate to get a social security card, either. And I don't have a passport. I guess the best thing to do is never have your purse/wallet stolen.

Wow. You probably shouldn't be carrying around your SS card though..
Or your birth certificate...duh.
