Today, I went to go get a new ID because my wallet was stolen, which had my social security card in it as well. I found out that to get your ID you have to have your social security card, and to get your social security card, you need your ID. FML

Today, I was told I can't renew my Identity Card without a Social Security Card, and I can't get a replacement Social Security Card without an Identity Card. FML

Today, my wallet got stolen. I don't have a photo ID to get a temporary debit card, and since I don't have a debit card, I can't go to the DMV to get a new license. FML

Today, I got a change of ID. My old ID had its corner cut off and was given a temporary paper ID. I went to a bar in another town to have some drinks. Turns out I couldn't because they couldn't use my old ID or my temporary one to let me drink, even though I'm 22. I've been there before and I work at my town's liquor store. FML

Today, I misplaced my wallet. Fortunately, I knew exactly where it was. Unfortunately, I had just taken out the only form of picture ID that morning. I couldn't stop the finders from laughing as they saw my fake celebrity entertainment ID while I tried to convince them it was actually my wallet. FML

Today, I went to go get my driver's license, only to be told that I need a copy of my birth certificate. In order to get the copy of my birth certificate, I need a driver's license or my passport. In order to get a passport, I need a copy of my birth certificate or a drivers license. I have none. FML

Today, I had gone to the store and bought a new wallet. 5 minutes later a security guard asks for my receipt. Turns out I had dropped my receipt. Some guy had picked it up and pretended I had stole his wallet. The guard confiscated my wallet because the guy had "his" receipt to prove it. FML

Today, I found a wallet containing an ID card. I managed to track down the owner, who now is threatening to call the police if I don't return the 400 dollars that he insists were also in it. FML

Go to the police station, they should give you a paper which you can use as an temporary replacement ID, then you can get the other stuff and again your new ID. That simple, It happened one time to me and there were no problems.

Do you know how hard it is to get your SSN changed? She won't be issued a new number unless "after making all efforts to resolve the problems caused by someone else’s misuse of your Social Security number, you are still being disadvantaged by the misuse."

wow depending on the circumstance; if u had business to take care of which required ur SS card then FYL but if not...YDI for having ur social security card on u...it says it on the back of the card dummy. For u idiots who think u know everything, each state is different & has different laws/requirements...all u gotta do is re-apply for the SS card with ur Passport providing u do have one if not well ur in for a 2-4 week wait... Also if u have a police report, that should be of more assistance & it validates that ur wallet was in fact stolen.

dude, the same thing happened to me. i ended up having to get the ss card first, but it took several trips. i ended up using my birth certificate and my medical insurance card. then waited for the ss card to come and got my id with my birth certicate and ss card. took about 3 weeks. i feel your pain!
