Today, I went to have a pre-cancerous mole removed off of my nose. When the doctor numbed my nose, she didn't check to see if the anesthetic actually worked, and began hacking away at my nose, leaving me to feel every last flick of the razor. Turns out I have an immunity to that anesthetic. FML

That sucks OP. I would be screaming in pain if I were you.

I've witnessed this before, and it is not a pretty view. Sounds like you were pretty calm about it tho, you should've told the doctor immediately.

wow OP I'm sorry that happened to you, you should definitely file a complaint and sue because that doctor is a quack he should of made sure you were out first I mean that's just common sense.

OP was just given a numbing needle. So they simply just numbed the nose. I will say that the doctor should've flicked the nose to see if OP could feel it.

Sounds like you need a new doctor

Couldn't she have gotten him off by pulling his tail, or enticing him off with some mole snacks?

I had a ruptured cyst removed from my thigh, I could feel what was happening but no pain. Feeling them sewing up my leg was kinda gross.

I had this when a doctor sewed up my sphincter after giving birth! A bit inappropriate to share this publicly but what the hey?! I don't have to meet any of you guys! Enjoy being grossed out by my story. Peace out.

Don't they usually have to do that when you give birth naturally? Or is that something else..

Women do usually get sewn up, either because they tore naturally, or they got an episiotomy (which is a terrifying thought)

Nah didn't even feel the episiotomy. The worst thing was the handsome doctor sticking his fingers up my butt to make sure there were no tears between tissue of my backside and frontside *cringes*. I had to tell my husband to quit taking photos of the bub in my chest at this point. That's my story. No more I promise.

What I'm hearing from you is, "Your rights end where my feelings begin."

What's OP supposed to sue for?? Because the doctor isn't psychic and wasn't aware OP could still feel what was happening? That's why we have mouths: "Ow, ow,ow!" would probably have been enough to get the doctor to stop.

#37 because it is the doctors job to make sure the anaesthetic is working correctly before they start the procedure. the doctor showed some incompetence by not checking. i wouldnt say sue, but maybe a complaint would do.

a movie has been made about when that happens in surgeriea. It's called "Awake" about a guy having heart surgery and he is feeling everything when they cut him open and can't say anything

My mom woke up during open heart surgery *shivers*
