Today, I went to my father for advice. I've been seeing a wonderful girl for the past month, and I feel terrible about it, because I already have a girlfriend. He said "Kill yourself" and that if I "can't even do that right" then to get out of his house, because he disowns me. FML

This is one of those FML's that make me wish I could push YDI multiple times. You should't kill yourself, OP, you should stay alive so you can suffer the pain of losing everyone you love in your life because of your cheating bullshit! Your dad's being harsh but he's saying that your behavior is so hurtful that you get a gigantic "fail" at life. Good luck pulling yourself out of the skummy ditch you've put yourself in!!

Cheating is wrong. OP knows this. At least he isn't someone that doesn't own up to what they do or try to make excuses about it. I think people are taking the judgement a bit too far. Sometimes decent people do ****** up things, one mistake doesn't make OP an asshole. What he wanted was advice and counsel to right a wrong and all he got was his own father telling him to kill himself and that he's disowned. Sorry if I'm not catering to the popular consensus here, but that doesn't spell YDI to me.
