Today, I went to my parents' for the first time in months. Upon my arrival, I found out that I won't be spending the day with them because they've taken a car trip to attend a Sarah Palin book signing. FML

So you expect your parents to sit around the house all day every day just in case you decide to show up? It doesn't matter where they went or what they're doing. You can't honestly expect people to abandon a trip they've already embarked on to run back home and see someone who didn't bother to make sure they would be available. It's inconsiderate to do so in the first place, and childish to whine about it.
