I agree when you're using your mirrors it's easy to keep both hands on the wheel and even if you just turn your shoulders with both hands on the wheel there's the potential to jerk the wheel if you're not careful. I'm not trying to an asshole, I'm just trying to explain that there's an easier way to back up. When you turn around to look behind you, you can see the same stuff if you were to use your rearview mirror. But you can't see what's directly beside you on your left. So you have basically created a new blind spot
