Today, I went to Target. I was on my way to the bathroom when I find a huge mirror. No one was around so I started to see how my butt looked in my jeans, checked up my nose and fixed my bra. An older woman then walks out of a door next to the mirror and explains that it's a two-way mirror. FML

why did so many ppl say YDI? how the **** is anyone supposed to know whether a mirror is normal or a two-way. and at target, who would know target has a two way mirror...FYL

EVERY target i've ever been to has those two way mirrors. You can even see through them if you look closely enough. plus, you were on your way to the bathroom, couldn't you have done it there? YDI.

I work at Target. I don't know of any two-way mirrors...

I worked at Target many years ago, and they don't have two way mirrors. In certain places like inside bathroom stalls and fitting room stalls, two-way mirrors are ILLEGAL. That's why you do the "fingernail test." So....I'm going out on a limb and throwing up the bullshit flag on this one.

Duh!! The fact that there was a door right next to it should've been a big give away! Every single Target in the world has a two-way mirror in the office. If you're going to do that kind of stuff, wait till you get to the bathroom, where there's no one around and you KNOW it's not a 2-way mirror.

am i the only one that thinks its odd that there was a two way mirror at target? hahahaha what the ****. whoever invented a two way mirror should have just kept it to themselves. no one appreciates them unless there the one on the clear side.

and who the hell checks if a mirror is two way or not? its really not all that common to come across a two way mirror while shopping and i dont think people at target would appreciate it if you were getting your finger prints all over their mirror just to check if its 2 way or not.. hahaha

I don't know why you would think to check if you had no idea that Targets had two-way mirrors (I didn't), but if you do need to check and don't mind looking stupid to the person inside if it IS two-way, you can just get really close to the glass and cup your hands. You can see inside. My bro took speech for many years where he was on the mirror side of a 2 way mirror and parents were watching from the other side. But all of the kids eventually got close enough, realized their parents were in the room next to them watching them, and then for a few weeks would always want to interact with their watching parents. It was kind of funny. But yeah, if you are close enough you can look inside. But you'd look stupid. Best solution: don't adjust yourself anywhere in Target except the bathroom. :P
