Today, I went to the beach. After applying sunscreen liberally and doing my best to stay out of the sun, I came home with the worst sunburn I have ever had. I almost needed to go to the hospital. I am officially too pale to be allowed outside in summer. FML

You were probably just outside for TOO long. Everything has to be in moderation.

Foolish mortals! Now you know the pain of going outside and having "fun"! You need to be more like me, an elite humanoid, and stay inside doing nothing! You are the first of your kind to realize the pain the sun can bring upon you!

I am very pale. I went to the beach sat under an umbrella and coated with sunblock SPF 50 at least every 30 minutes and still got burnt in the 2 hours I was out there. Just part of being that fair skinned. I like all the tanning tips. Some people just dont tan even in moderation.

Maybe you're allergic to the UV rays like me? No matter how much sunscreen I put on, I burn. Twice as fast, twice as painful/itchy.

I love me so pale white girl, I find that super sexy.

It's not summer where the hell do you live

You have heard of the southern hemisphere, right?

He's from Baltimore and asked something like that so I'm sure he thinks America is the only place in the world. Dear idiot, OP obviously lives on another planet where for some reason it's summer.

This makes me so glad I'm a Mexi Melt!

Hey at least you've actually GOT some damned sun in NSW somewhere- we're still flooded in up in here in QLD!!!!

how stuffed up is australias weather at the moment? fricken qld flooding, melbournes been prett cold for jan, perth is on the boil! and its been SNOWING!! im summer! seriously strangest things happening down under...

did you apply more sunscreen every so often, that might help(:

This is exactly what happened to me last year when I went to a festival. I applied sunscreen every hour or so and I came home extremely sunburnt. I was in agony every day. it sucked changing shirts that's for sure.
