Today, I went to the hospital in labor expecting a baby boy. I ended the day with identical twins, a baffled doctor, and a husband convinced that our sons can clone themselves. FML

This is actually more common than people think... The children can lay side by side, making it easy to miss the second baby during an ultrasound. The babies can also sync their heartbeats, also making it difficult to hear them separately, causing the doctor to believe there is only one.

If your sons could clone themselves wouldn't you have four babies

They were only expecting one baby, so the dad was saying the son cloned himself to make two.

The same happened to my mother only in reverse: She was told she'd have twins, but came home with just one.

Congrats! My Dad was an identical twin and 2 things he warned me about when I was having twins were to not dress them alike and make sure they have pics of them as individuals too not just always together. Mine are boy and girl and people could still tell they were twins even dressed differently. Have fun!

You let that guy reproduce twice?

Congratulations! In my humble opinion, this is not really a FML, unless your husband is serious... ohh and you should consider another doctor for the next time. Good luck with the babies!

im currently 8 months pregnant, but didn't find out til last month that I was even pregnant. Now the Op has me terrified that there could be two in there!

How could you not realise you were 8 months pregnant??!

Talk about a two for one deal right there! :)

did you not realize the monthly visitor was not visiting? lol

I'm assuming you are replying to the person a couple posts up and not the OP. But you know, they have a handy reply feature for that.... it makes it less confusing. Anyway, not everybody gets regular periods, some people go months without getting them. There used to be a show "I didn't know I was pregnant" or something like that.... anyway it happens, some people don't really gain weight or find something else to blame it on, they don't get regular periods in the first place, they have other medical conditions to blame sickness and whatever on, etc...

I had an iud, I haven't had a period in 3 yrs!
