Today, I went to the laundromat. I put a load in the dryer and walked away to check on my other load. When I came back, I saw a homeless man putting his dirty, wet underwear in the dryer with my clean clothes. FML

Meh. Take them out and donate a dollar to getting him his own dryer.

60: I completely agree that his actions were wrong. Being homeless doesn't excuse bad behaviour, but some of the comments above regarding homeless people in general were just disgustingly ignorant and rude.

Disgusting. You should have dragged him out to the curb and thrown him into oncoming traffic.

what kind of laundry place do you go to?

I'd have given him some money myself, so he could wash and dry his clothes, but once he decided to steal from me by hijacking my load, my generous nature would have been offended. Charity is good, and those who do good will be rewarded, but theft is theft, and this crossed the line.

Ok, honestly, to all the people saying " WAA WAA... Let's feel bad fir the hobo." eff you! I bet you wouldn't appreciate it if you caught a homeless person sticking his piss/shit soaked knickers in with your clothes, and don't even pretend like you'd just let it go. Also, my job happens to consist of cleaning up after the buggers, and they have no respect for people or public property. They are on the streets because they choose to be there. Nobody is forcing them to be there. Just a lifetime of laziness and a 40 ouncer of colt 45.

So let me see if I have this right... This man has no home, likely no money to eat everyday, and has to resort into sneaking his underwear into other peoples dryer so he can have dry underwear...and because you may have to re wash your clothes...your life is ******..think about his life. I would have taken him to walmart and bought him some clothes and a whole pack of underwear. Let's try and keep things in perspective here.

Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish, feed him for a lifetime. How can a man (even a destitute one) further develop himself if he isn't held responsible for his actions, especially such flagrantly antisocial ones as these?

If it was me I would have screamed loudly, startled him badly that way, AND prevent him from continuing- I'd force him to take his clothes out! You should have warned the guy that it would have been far better to just ask for some spare change. Just because a man does not have a home or much else does not mean he has an excuse to neglect his manners. If anything manners probably could help him get stuff back in the long run! And I strongly suggest you go to another laundromat where the washers and dryers automatically lock after you turn them on so that no one can try to mooch off your money.

OK ew! Maybe he has no money but that's still so gross! If you wanna help him, offer to pay for him. But that's just unhygienic and disgusting.

What kind of crappy laundromat is this that other people can stick their clothes in with yours? Don't these machines have locks?
