Today, I woke up at 2:30 AM. Thinking I was going to be late for my 3:30 AM flight, I rushed into the bathroom to shower. As I came out of the shower, I slipped and broke my arm. I then realized my flight is tomorrow. FML

Um, unless you live IN THE AIRPORT...if you woke up 1 hour prior to the flights departure you were screwed from the get go. They begin boarding the flight 20min to departure not including gettin through security and checking bags which BTW the cutoff time for THAT is 1 hour to departure...just saying

well at least you didn't fall on a metal pole impaling you to the ground untill you were rescued 4 days later only to die of thirst before you reached the hospital...

You woke 1 hour before your Flight? What were you expecting to do, flap your ******* arms to fly?

If its a tiny municipal airport they may not need you there more than half an hour before the flight. I know I dropped my sister and grandmother off once only 15 minutes prior and they still got through fine. When there are no lines security only takes 5-10 minutes, and boarding doesn't take long either. But at any large airport, you were screwed from the get-go unless you were staying at an in-airport hotel.

I do that all the time! Except I wake up at seven, get all ready thinking I'll be late for class, and then it turns out that it like only three in the morning. It sucks! But I always to that!

If you wake up an hour before your flight, you're already late.

Ferrari cake GO **** YOURSELF, Your right it is different Canada. It's way fuching better

If you thought you were late, with only an hour until your flight leaves, you wouldn't be taking a shower. I can see if it it's a smaller airport, but even then I would wonder why you'd care about your shower more than getting ready, packed, and out the door...

While taking a shower was a really stupid move, and qualifies for a YDI, I'd just like to note that I've gotten to the airport 25 minutes before my flight (yes, 5 minutes before boarding started) and basically walked onto my plane and left, so the OP wasn't necessarily totally screwed. Though taking a shower makes no sense whatsoever in this situation.

YDI for taking a shower an hour before your flight.

That's not necessarily disorganization. More like disorientation at 2:30 in the morning.
