for all you people saying he should have raised his son right, grow the hell up. OMG, KIDS ALWAYS DO WHAT THEIR PARENTS SAY AND NONE OF THEM EVER REBEL OR DO THINGS THAT PARENTS DON'T TEACH THEM. >_> seriously? my parents raised me well, and i still sometimes skipped doing homework or chores to play video games... because i was a kid. in no way does this mean that they did not raise their child right. also, we have no idea how old this kid is. if the kid is a teenager, seriously... i'd say YDI to the kid for freaking JUMPING OUT A WINDOW for a damn controller. regardless, throwing the controller out the window is no big deal, considering the parent more than likely bought the damn thing for him. extreme would have been smashing the system. kids these days need to learn to go outside for awhile instead of being glued to their games. (which, i admit, i do from time to time, but i don't do it 24/7)
in case you didn't notice, that was typing in voice of people who say that...it was meant to sound like a dumbass. and i wasn't generalizing. everyone here who is calling the OP a bad parent for their kid being addicted to CoD is. i was pointing out the fact that this is just how most children act. it's not generalizing, it's a fact. they are going to whine, and complain, and go against what their parents say, and skip out on homework or be glued to a game/tv/book/etc. this is NORMAL. of course it's going to be different in other countries, and of COURSE it's not going to be the same for every single child. but it's still not the parent's fault if their kid is addicted to the game, so long as they didn't encourage it. nor is it a crime against nature for him to throw a piece of plastic that he most likely bought out the window. if his son bought it, or if another family member bought it, sure, it was a bit too far.
Im a mom i love playing cod. Esp with my bf i never yell at him for playing. Ur son is young its just a game.
dumb bitch, i feel sorry for your kid.
just wait until the kid finds your vintage porno...
why would you do that??? take it away or something... but dont throw it out the frikin window... those things cost money
He probably did it to illustrate how big of an ass you are for throwing his things out a window. Just because it's your kid doesn't mean you can be a dick by attempting to destroy his controller just because you've failed to motivate him. I graduated with straight A's while sitting around playing PC games. It isn't the game, it's your inability to help him balance his time out.

...WOW. That's some serious addiction right there. That boy needs therapy. Seriously though OP, you don't need to go that far. You can RROD an XBox 360 just by looking at it the wrong way. I should know -- I own one. -_-
My dad doesn't know I have an xbox. He'd do the same thing hahaha. So I only play when he goes away on business trips which is regular enough anyway.
