Today, in the fitting room at Old Navy, a customer asked me if we sold Calvin Klein jeans. I replied "no ma'am, this isn't a department store, we only sell Old Navy jeans." She left, and complained to my manager, who informed me that "the customer is always right." FML

Have a friend pose as a customer and give you a home made coupon that says "All the shit I want for free". They're the customer; they're right.

dude wtf?! is everybody missing the point that the customer ASKED her a QUESTION?! how can anybody be right while asking a question? that's retarted on all counts

that lady's an idiot. just take pride in the fact that you're much smarter than she is.

dude i work at a Baskin robbins, wtf would happen if the customer asked for some coldstone, i'd tell them to GTFO

The trouble you got in was probably because of the "this isn't a department store" remark, which as someone already said, has the potential to sound kind of... snide

Actually, the customer is always the customer. I agree with some people in leaving out the first part, but other than that, both the customer and your manager need a reality check. and this is an fmylife. (I admit, i probably would have said the same thing. lol)
