Today, in the spirit of Halloween and to get back at a child who repeatedly pressed the doorbell until I showed up, I quickly opened the door and yelled "Boo!" The child ended up being carried away crying with wet pants by a mother threatening to sue. FML

I can't stand people who think they need to sue or fight back every time someone makes their widdle baby cwy.

I really doubt she'd actually try to sue, that just seems to be the best threat people of mediocre intelligence can come up with when you piss them off.

Halloween sounds shitty where you come from. I had just one kid out of nearly a hundred who looked too old to be trick or treating, but he was at least in full costume. And I've never heard of anyone demanding cash. When I was a kid, I used to hate it on the rare occasion when someone would give me change instead of candy.

Is that mother trying to get laughed out of court or something?

Your all pathetic for thinking this was ok. If he wet himself for that he's probably about 4 or 5. To "get back" at a toddler is despicable. No she probably can't sue but I wish she could!

You wish she could sue? You're the kind of person that has ruined this country. Please just go to hell.

4 or 5 is hardly a toddler anymore. And kids are tougher than we like to think they are. I highly doubt the little ankle-biter is going to suffer permanent psychological damage just because someone said boo.

5 is school aged, definitely old enough to be "boo'ed" imo

Way to go dick! The kid had to be young to pee his pants! And it's Halloween just go to the door and give the kid some candy he probably WAS having a good time

Did you miss the part where the kid was constantly ringing the doorbell and running away when OP answered the door? If anything, it sounds like the parent was horribly teaching the kid how to play Ding-Dong Ditch and got mad when OP stood up for her privacy and retaliated.

This is one of those stories that will actually attract people that think the OP was at fault, see above. Yeah, your door rings repeatedly and there's no one there, so it's an obvious prank. And being Helloween you do a harmless payback by waiting by the door. Oh, it was a small kid, honestly too young, who started crying for being spooked on Helloween. Yeah, totally the OPs fault. Ugh, people. FYL.

boycrazy30007, hare to break it to you, but a 5 year old is not a toddler. You're thinking of a 2 year old.

You're not always going to get a treat..
