Today, it marks the fourth month since my 15-year-old cousin asked me out, then started practically stalking me when I said no. It's also the fourth month of my parents and his constantly telling me to stop overreacting and that it's "just a phase." FML

I don't understand why parents just brush off weird behaviors like that rather than just addressing them.

Your parents should be taking this seriously, that's some seriously disturbing behaviour.

Not surprised that you're all from Alabama. Better move north of the M-D line where that kind of thing is actually discouraged!

my cousin proposed to me once, but he was 4 years old hahaha and he took the rejection much better than yours...

Not at all surprised that you're in Alabama. Way to reinforce state stereotypes!

The closer the kin, the deeper in, sorry couldn't help myself and miss a golden opportunity to use that line.

You really should, like people have suggested, log all of his activity. This is a crime, but its one that it is never taken too seriously, even by authorities.

Okay, we'll in all seriousness it sounds like you guys are pretty young. And it does sound like a phase. There's been points in my life where I was like damn I wish that kid wasnt my 2nd cousin lol. Sometimes they're just good looking but I think the OP and all of the commenters are slightly over reacting with taking legal action. And anyway, it's a family member. If it was a random guy who walked by your house every day then yeah, get a restraining order. If this happened to me I would address my cousin FACE TO FACE and just tell him to bug off ya creep. He might still like you on the inside but everyone's an iceberg.

Incest is best, keeping it in the family, like a pro... Lol
