Today, it's been 10 days since my family and I have been visiting France. I've always wanted to try their culinary specialties but my dad says we "can't trust them". We've eaten at McDonald's 9/10 times. FML

Today, after months of avoiding fast food, I decided to eat some McDonald's french fries. Though the fries were delicious, they were not worth the agonizing 15 minutes I spent on the toilet afterwards. FML

Today, my parents ate at a new Italian restaurant. They said it was the best they'd ever had and brought me some, insisting I try it. It had so much garlic and sugar in it that I couldn't finish. They're upset because one of our cousins owns the restaurant, and they say I'm not being supportive. We're Irish, not Italian. FML

Today, I was excited to go to a Japanese restaurant for my birthday. When the chef started doing tricks however, my spoiled brat of a sister started screaming and crying in terror. My parents insisted we leave and go to McDonald's because she was upset. She's 11. FML

Today, I was on a date in a fancy restaurant. I tried to show off my skills by ordering our meal in French, since some of the dishes had french-sounding names. The waiter replied in fluent French and I have no idea what he said. FML

Today, I went to my favorite restaurant with my mother. The food took a little longer than usual to arrive and my mom threw a fit, complete with kicking and screaming, in the middle of the restaurant. My mom and I are both banned for life. FML

Today, I asked my parents why we hadn't been out to eat as a family for so long. Both mom and dad agreed, so we made plans to go have breakfast at the Waffle House. Upon arriving, Dad threw a tantrum in the restaurant over nothing, and insisted on yelling at us the entire time. Guess I got my answer. FML

Make him try French chocolate. it usually works as an eye-opener. (every European who has ever tried Hershey's kisses will know what I mean ) . Have a pic nic too, buy 12 month old Comté , a ripe cantaloupe melon and a simple baguette . Don't let them stop you , they'll thank you afterwards.

It actually makes me angry that there are people fortunate enough to holiday with their family in a place like France and then insist on eating McDonalds. My god what a bloody waste! half the experience is the food! Anybody who goes on holidays to places with such culinary delight should be ashamed at even thinking about getting mcdonalds. I wouldn't even eat that crap at home. Sorry OP but you need to stand up and go and get some FOOD not cardboard!

You can't trust mcdonald. It's kind of sad. I'm french and of course you can't trust some restaurants but you just have to choose them wisely and some are just amazing.
