Today, it's memorial day weekend. The cops are all over the place watching for speeders and drunks. Some complete dickhead decided to spray paint "cop killa" on the side of my car. It won't come off. FML

Oven Cleaner. It works and won't damage your paint.

Brake parts cleaner and paper towels will take it right off, and it's a cheap fix. Just make sure you wash it when you're done so it doesn't **** up the paint underneath.

It is unlikely that any "repairs" would be over $250, so unless OP has full coverage and a deductible of less than $250 it would be pointless to involve insurance. Also seriously, let the cop search your house to prove you didn't paint it? They wouldn't waste the time, it's not a murder investigation.

Lacquer thinner will work and not ruin the car's finish. I do body work. I fix and paint cars for a living.
