Being dumb enough to post this on FML is worse than being dumb enough to be late to your first day at work.

To anyone saying he's dumb for being late to work, you're dumb for assuming it's a choice. No one chooses to be late. If you CHOOSE to be late then fine, you're an idiot. If it's a mistake, it's a mistake. It always happens. That, or unforeseeable circumstances prevented him from arriving on time. Even leaving well in advance. Car trouble, horrible weather, freak accidents, bad traffic. That's just off the top of my head. I AM SICK and TIRED of everyone insulting each other and calling everyone else stupid over mistakes and things they cannot control, for ******* **** sake people. OP, I'm damn sorry you lost a good job. In these times, that's devastating, and yes I actually care that you, another human being, may have to suffer because of it. I don't understand people. He OBVIOUSLY did not mean to be late. He could very well have left hours early but still arrived late due to bad luck. What, you think he woke up and thought "Hey, I think I will go in late to work today!". You can't ever anticipate everything. It's called bad luck.
