Today, it was my friend's 18th birthday. She had invited us out drinking. I've never had alcohol before and was very excited. I got a call explaining that she had invited one too many and asked me not to come. People bragging on facebook about what a great time they were having didn't help either. FML

A bunch of 18 year olds bragging about drinking alcohol on Facebook? I hope they get busted. Then the OP can just laugh her ass off at their stupidity.

Another ignorant American? Ever look past your front door you babbling ******* idiot? I am ashamed to sometimes call myself an American because of how ignorant idiots like yourself give us such a bad rep worldwide when it comes to the intelligence department.

Another stereotyping asshole? What gives Americans bad reps worldwide are condescending fools like yourself who berate people for no good reason. Try getting off your high horse for a second and look around.

You've got to be the biggest idiot I've had the displeasure to know. I did have a look around, then I hightailed the **** out of the USA to Canada. At least Canadians have a general knowledge of the world around them. Jeeze..Americans are such high and mighty about their nationality, yet most couldn't answer simple questions about their economic state, HECK even about the area/place they might reside in. Fyi, I had reason enough. ;)

Sweetheart, don't somehow think that you know me based on this comment. For you to go slinging the term "idiot" around as loosely as you have tells me plenty about the kind of person you are. I find it quite ironic how you are calling all Americans "high and mightly" when you act that way yourself. And your condescension continues.

Eh, I act high and mighty with an actual backing of what I'm saying. AKA I can back my shit up. By the way... I am an American. Probably why I act so high and mighty...eh? Bahahahaha. Oh, before you make another stupid comment without reading what I've said properly the first time. I did mention if vaguely in BOTH the above posts. Obviously you didn't catch it. Sorry I'll try to be Captain obvious from now on hunny.

she right tho Americans seem to be very loud yet very uninformed doc u have proven this point urself a few times

Calling Doc uninformed is less accurate than your spelling.

he once said that alcohol intolerence was caused buy the person having there first drink at 18 which is underage where the person was

and also she said she was an American so her being "high and mighty" accually proves her point

132 - Pretty sure that was sarcasm. Doc's a highly intelligent individual.

137 do u no which thread I'm talking about?

Yes, I do actually. Thanks for assuming I'm just talking out of my ass, though. I, for one, love to read Doc's posts. They're almost always riddled with sarcasm or some form of witty pun if he's not informing the lot of you uneducated people. It doesn't take much to figure that out... it's just a simple matter of reading and comprehending, which you clearly didn't pass in grade school if you can't understand the sarcasm in that post. I will respond to you if you choose to bitch some more only if you learn to type properly. "No" is not proper in that context, and "u" is not a word.

If it's legible it's good enough for a site like this. And I have read the post again just to make sure and it really doesn't seem like sarcasm. Sarcasm is usually delivered in level or flat tone NOT IN THE YELLING THAT TYPING LIKE THIS IMPLIES.

Oh really? And you've graduated with Honours in sarcasm? It CAN involve capital letters, SO IT CAN LOOK LIKE THIS. Just because it doesn't immediately look like sarcasm doesn't mean it automatically isn't. It all depends on the context and what exactly he said - it's not just how he types it that makes it sarcasm.

Also, I lied and ended up responding anyway. Oops.

Horneyhic, I remember that FML, and what I said was indeed sarcastic, as Steff was trying to point out. I'm positive, though, that you have the market on sarcasm comprehension cornered. See? That was that sarcasm again. And I bet you got it right that time, right? Right??? Hellooooooooo?

So if she's turning 18, I'm guessing at least you or a few of her other friends may still be 17 anyway? And whilst the legal drinking age is 18, I really doubt that it will be your first time drinking- you've never had a glass of champagne on New Year's Eve? A glass of wine with your family? Before I was 18 I'd been to parties with my friends and had been drinking. And no, none of us were wild hooligans or died in creeks, we just had a few drinks and chilled out with friends. And your friend was clearly looking for an excuse to not have you there. YDI for not having more intelligent friends who can think of a better excuse.

She probly doesnt even know what booze r good. There's actually one that smells just like the cereal fruity pebbles, how awesome is that?

You still call the bitch your friend? You are too nice for your own good. The FML here should read...I am so desperate for friends I let people treat me like crap and walk all over me.
