Today, it was my friend's 18th birthday. She had invited us out drinking. I've never had alcohol before and was very excited. I got a call explaining that she had invited one too many and asked me not to come. People bragging on facebook about what a great time they were having didn't help either. FML

Today, it was my 21st birthday. My roommate insisted her friend join us. They both got belligerently drunk while I was pretty sober. We ended the night at 12am with her friend violently sobbing at the bar over her boyfriend, while I played Subway Surfers. Yay. FML

Today, my "best friend" invited me to drink with her and a couple other friends. She told me to "just bring a few bucks for beer". When I got there, no one else had brought money, including her. They only invited me because I'm the only one with a job. FML

Today, I threw a birthday party for my boyfriend. As a joke, my friend and I served him non-alcoholic beer to see how he'd react. After a while, he faked being drunk, using it as an excuse after I caught him making out with one of my so-called "friends". FML

no you're wrong. If you can read the fml you can read the country underneath. UK which is the United Kingdom which means the legal drinking age is 18.

Actually the legal drinking age in the UK is 5 Although I don't want foreigners to think we have drunken children, obviously if the child was given alcohol regularly enough to damage them social services will get inolved. I personally support the UK alcohol laws as I feel it incourages a healthy attitude to alcohol, more often than not if you outright ban something people will only try harder to get it and go crazy with it.
