Today, it was my friend's 18th birthday. She had invited us out drinking. I've never had alcohol before and was very excited. I got a call explaining that she had invited one too many and asked me not to come. People bragging on facebook about what a great time they were having didn't help either. FML

Agreed. I am 21 and have had drinks before but never drank enough to make myself miserable. I've actually never bought a drink myself since I have legally been able to. It's just not worth the miserable feeling and sickness later. There are better things to do.

umm maby it was the social experience of hanging out with a bunch of friends and possibly meet new ppl she was exited for and I don't no very many ppl that get hangovers after one or 2 drinks personally I don't get them at all so long as I eat a big a drink a lot of water before going to sleep

You can meet new people and enjoy some time with your friends with or without alcohol. Also, while it's rare to get a hangover on that amount of booze, it can happen. It's all circumstantial. Just because drinking a lot of water works for you doesn't mean it will automatically work for everyone else.

Since a hangover is cause by a mixture of lack of vitamin b12 and dehydration eating and water will greatly help any hangover as long as you dont let it set in

Oh no! You totally just missed out on a chance to pay for overly expensive, unhealthy, watered down alcohol at a shady bar or party, accidentally hook up with some creep, take facebook pictures of yourself posing in front of a mirror, blinking, get your wallet stolen by a street monkey, break your nose on a glass door in your mad attempt to chase after it, wake up in the back of your friend's car with vomit all over you and blood running down your face, completely broke and hungover with three missed and very angry calls from your parents on your phone... bummer. You didn't miss anything, trust me.
