Call me old fashioned but I don't want any of that at my wedding! Even though I'm not a serious person.. I still want that to be serious. I would be mad if I were you. But surely she said this at rehearsal? I don't know. Anyway, my opinion.. You seem to be okay with it, so that's all that matters.

As Debby Downer as this sounds, I'd be pretty mad if my priest made a joke like that during the ceremony and ESPECIALLY at that part. Your dad should seriously lighten up, OP. He needs to get used to the fact that it's your life, not his, and this man clearly makes you happy and he'll be around for the rest of your life (:
