Dude you have your PhD in engineering, that's way more important and will get you farther in life than any girlfriend. Plus between the education and the money you'll make both will bring you many girlfriends if you so desire.

Smart and educated women love PhDs. Also that's an amazing accomplishment certain to improve the quality of your life for years to come. Congratulations!. A relationship might not last, but usually earning a PhD is eternal :)
