Are you actively trying to be in a relationship or just hoping it will happen to you? You have to date and put yourself out there just like you had to apply yourself and study to earn that phD. Be well groomed (looks aren't everything but good style is!), don't bore her to death with engineering talk (women like smart men only when they're also interesting), and crack some funny jokes. That will gain interest, it's up to you to keep that interest going! Read some articles man!
Well with an income like that it shouldn't be too hard...try a dating site
Hey now that you have a phd, get yourself a nice car and expensive watch and let them crawl to you...
you've got an education. that's way cooler than being taken :)
The fact that you think the two things are comparable is probably part of the problem. Girlfriends aren't something you "get." You put in the work and you earned a degree. Congratulations. But you cannot "earn" a girlfriend.
I'd rather be smart then get a girlfriend.
It's not really that big of a deal, OP. Once you realise that and move on with your life, when you least expect it, it will happen. Trust me. Just keep going about your life and doing the things you're interested in, that way when it does happen, you'll at least have some common interests.

Build yourself a girlfriend!
There are lots of guys who would rather have an engineering PHD than their current girlfriend.
