It takes way longer than an hour to defray a hard drive
"Actually, defragging the hard drive is a good way of freeing up space if your harddrive is having memory space issues." If your sectors are bad, your sectors are bad. Defrags are used to make a HDD run faster (most allow you to optimize your HDD and put your most used files nearer the front of the disk). However, defragging does not give you more "space" magically. Also, don't use Microsoft Word, use Open Office. Seriously. Lastly, I worked at a tech for a few years on the phone : Most techs are retards, and the good ones are bogged down by corporate tape. "You can't fix this problem until we tell you this problem is fixable" being an issue I ran into a few times, once nearly getting fired for fixing a CD-drive issue our system said was "unrepairable".
Sounds like ellen feiss part 2.
Oh yeah beacuse a video card driver would TOTALLY fix a problem having to do with memory.

You should look into getting a mac.
That's why you get a Mac (:
Yeah, those are all legitimate fixes for the problem. Apparently, you, nor most of the respondents, don't know much about computers. Quit whining about things you don't understand. Try doing some basic research, before you shoot your mouth off.
Good comment. Where the hell do you work?!? That is total crap.

I bet it went a little like this: Hello, my name is Peggy. Transfer? Transfer. Hello, my name is Peggy.
New video card driver for Word memory error? Sounds legit.
