Today, my 15-year-old daughter asked for a ride to her boyfriend's house. It's the same house I've been driving her to for sleepovers with her friend "Kate" for two years. FML

This is a bit of a tough one, but I'm going to have to go with YDI for not taking more of an interest in your daughter's life and not insisting on meeting the parents the first time you dropped her off for a sleepover.

Yeah... YDI. My mom never let me go to anyone else's house with out at least talking to their parents on the phone. Usually she'd come inside for a second when she dropped me off just to say hello to my friend's parents and to confirm I wasn't trying to pull something on her.

Do any of the OP's ever even read their comments? I mean they probably don't follow the comments and by the time they come to the website, so many more have been posted? I've never seen OP actually reply but here is my two cents! Just like everyone said, it could be Kate's brother! I mean if she slept there for 2 years, its bound that she started liking the guy! Also, when you got to the house to drop her off, you should've been like, Omg! This is Kate's house! Are you dating her brother? Why hold it in? Ask her! Like WTC.

Also, how can you have NOT met Kate in the past two years that your daughter slept over there? Even when she was 13, wouldn't you wanted to meet Kate's parents or IDK meet the actual girl?

This person does not fail as a parent. Ive tricked my mom into letting me go to friends house who ive met over the internet. I tricked her two times. my mom hasnt met even half of the friends I hang out with and go over to their houses and I am almost 16. Obvisouly the poster trustes her daughter like the way my mom trusts me.
