Today, my 15-year-old daughter's pregnancy test came back positive. I wanted to know who the father is, so I could sit the two of them down to talk the situation through with them. She isn't sure if it's her best friend, or our neighbor's son. FML

Sounds like your daughter and you need to have a real long talk about self respect and loyalty if she was Dateing either of them

Sounds like a case for the Maury Povich show.

I find it incredibly sad when women become pregnant and do not know who the father is. The fact that she is a young age on top of that is even worse. Christ people. Get it together.

The easier she has it. Meaning everybody in the family helps her. With baby sitting, Money, taking her to the babies dctr. Appnt. The sooner shell have another baby. Seen it happen! My neighbors daughter on baby number three. And counting. But, none of my business

For anyone stupid enough to go on about "kids these days" getting pregnant, statistics actually show that teen pregnancy rates are at the lowest they've been in the past 60 years. The difference between teen pregnancy then and teen pregnancy now is that in the past, pregnant teens were quietly sent away to maternity homes until they had their babies and gave them up for adoption. These days, not only is teen pregnancy reported on more but the internet and TV shows like 16 and Pregnant have created the false impression that teen rates are somehow worse than they were years ago.

Whilst I do agree with you and I have no proof whether or not this has any sort of difference in statistics. I also like to remember that in the past 60 years many less teenagers have been getting married as well then proceeded to have a child still as a teen. I would be interested to look at the stats for teenage pregnancies of those who were pregnant before getting married to see if it really has gone done or up/same.

stories like this are so utterly disturbing to me

You should've talked with her earlier about contraception. But I agree your life sucks. Well, not as much as hers though. Anyway, I guess a talk with all three young persons is gonna be very interesting.

Wow :/ You failed as a parent.. seriously some f******d up stuff....

Unfortunately, too many parents think about a sitdown when it's too late. It's never too late to talk about STDs, self respect, and the consequences of unprotected sex. Good luck mom!

Protection is the key! Even after sex my boyfriend and I check the condom cause Lord knows we ain't ready for no child and we're 19. I really hope you have a serious talk with your daughter and the two guys or hopefully it's a false positive!
