Someone who's 7 should know way better than that.
it's the thought that counts...
wow your daughter is a complete moron, way to go raising an idiot
Actually, I think you're the complete moron. This kid is seven. All she did was try to clean up her mess, in which we're all taught to do. So she hasn't been told water ruins electronics, WOAH NO WAY! Probably because she's seven years old. I hope someone uses soap, water, and the rough side of the sponge on your brain. Think before you type.
Dude, 7 year olds for the most part know that stuff. If she was 4 or 5 it'd be somewhat justified. But at 7....... wow
Even if they don't know how to use a computer, they should know water+electronics = bad things .
Wow ur kid is like mentaply challenged if she thinks like that at 7
That sounds really cute actually
YDI for having children.
This doesn't mean that the child is stupid. Children get scared of getting in trouble for doing something wrong. So to them, the logical idea is to try to fix what they did wrong. She did what was to her the most logical choice- something got dirty, so you clean it. While children may know that you shouldn't spill your drink on something, they don't necessarily connect the fact that the problem is electronics + liquid. She doesn't understand that cleaning a spill on the computer not dealt with the same way as most spills are. Usually mom or dad just gets a sponge and cleans it up, which means to her, that is the way she knows to be appropriate to deal with a spill. *shrug* Yes she messed up, no she's not a retard. OP- I'm sorry about your computer. But moreso, I'm sorry that so many people are calling your child an idiot and a retard who should be slapped. I challenge anyone to prove to me they never did anything stupid as a kid. It's part of being a kid.
Yes, I got scared of being in trouble. But the thing is, I never made the trouble worse. How could you be more sorry for the OP because her/his kid is being insulted on the internet than her losing a computer that probably costed at least 300$? I never did anything that retarded as a kid over the age of 5. By the age of 7 I knew there'd be a good chance I'd die if I mixed water with electricity.
Lmfao. NO! I can't believe you're a Mac person. Ugh. However, your extensive knowledge of Latin so well makes up for it. *drools*

Uh-oh, spaghetti-o's!
I guess you shouldn't have left it in her reach, or her unattended with it, if she couldn't be trusted to be obey you. I hope you're teaching her a lesson about honesty and obedience here! That said, sorry about your laptop. :/
