Today, my 8-year-old came home from school crying. Apparently her teacher told the whole class to write about how they felt when they learned that Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy weren't real. FML

even worse. my 5 year old nephew had the same experience. his teacher had the same assignment and got the whole class in tears because they all still believed in santa

My sisters are ten and they still believe, so that was a major bitchmove.

It's a terrible thing to do but they gotta learn sometime.

I was 10 when I stopped believing and I didn't care cause I still got presents, as shallow as it sounds. My school newspaper (don't worry it was high school) had a poll on how old where you when you stopped believing in santa and how you found out. One girl sad she still believed (don't know if she was joking or not) the best reply is when my friend said he knew when his Dad suggested they give santa beer instead of milk and cookies.

My son is 7 and still believes. I think it's such a Shame when they stop believing, it takes some of the magic away from Xmas. I am also very pleased that I brought his elder (by 8 years) sister up to never tell him otherwise.

I would smack that teacher up the head if they ruined it for my kid at such a young age

****, I'm 17 and I still put out cookies and milk.. Never too old to believe ;)

Tht teacher needs to go back to teaching school

Wow. That's something a parent should do, when It's time, not a teacher. You should complain

I got my last visit from the "Tooth Fairy" when I was around 13. It was after I had to get all my wisdom teeth out only a few days before Christmas. ^_^

My elementary teacher got fired for that...

That teacher is a major douchenugget!
