Today, my AP teacher once again accused me of plagiarism. Apparently the words "demise," "ultimately," and "rural," are too sophisticated for an 11th grade AP student to use and MUST have been copied from the Internet. FML

Ultimately, your rural demise is imminent.

Jokes on them; if you're telling the truth then you're clearly more intelligent than they think you could be, good for you!

11th grade? unless you went to a special school where expectations are lower, this is a fake FML. And what's wrong with copying individual words off the internet? I use thesaurus.com and that is not plagiarism.

Tell the principal. That happened to my friend, Because her teacher has this machine that scans your paper to see if you copied it from the Internet and it picked up words like "Civil rights, constitution, Etc." so her teacher thought she copied it from the Internet. But she told the principal, and she didn't get in ANY trouble! So tell your principal!

accuse her of severe UNsophistication.

Haha, look at you trying to use a big word. That's so cute.

Well that is just rediculious. She needs to shut her ****** and go back to whatever pathetic college gave her a degree.

This is coming from somebody who misspelled "ridiculous?

that exact same thing happened to me. I used the words "derogatory" and "supercilious" in a sonnet and my creative writing teacher thought it wasn't mine.

So, OP, is it hot in Topeka?

ap is advanced placement....means the student takes a test at the end of the course and receives college credit. plagiarism happens when the source material for the assignment isn't cited correctly. are you sure it is'nt an incorrect or missing citation that caused your teacher to accuse you of plagiarism rather than the use of words? or did you just cite the source material incorrectly?

Oh I'm sure the citation[2] was fine. It just looked like this.[3]
