Today, my apartment was robbed by my landlord. Her logic? "I own the building, and therefore everything in it." That TV cost more than my rent. FML

Start stealing from her suite. When she confronts you, say it's not stolen because it's still in "her" building.

Call the police. Right now. If she's renting to you, she has responsibilities to you. These include giving you advanced notice prior to entering your dwelling unless it's an emergency. She violated that. Also, she cannot touch your things, even if you leave/die/don't pay rent for at least 30 days afterward. She violated that, too. Thirdly, renting never justifies theft. Call. The. Police.

Sounds like an episode of Judge Judy lol

Don't get people like you, just report her to the police and/or take her to court. You make out you can't get it back or do anything about it..

Can someone explain this comment to me?

This is bs. No one is that dumb they don't call the cops

if this DID really happen, you need to contact the local police to file a report, and you need to find a good lawyer ....... unless you're anywhere near Sacramento you'll need to find your own lawyer

Go to the cops. Let us know how this turns out.

They never come back and tell us what happened :'(

Call the cops and in the meantime kick her in the taco.

she's got the right to come in your house at anytime. and take anything that she owns. since you rent from her. but she can't take something that's yours.

No she doesn't. Landlords are required to notify their tenants when they will be entering their unit for any reason (maintenance, repairs, etc).

They are not allowed to come and go as they please. It's a violation of your privacy. They have to give a notice atleast 24 hours before they come unless you agreed differently. At least where Im from..

What in the hell?! That just. What? Get your shit back and move immediately dude.
