Today, I drove 4 hours to see my girlfriend of a year, as she had asked me to stay with her for a few days. When I arrived she told me she wanted to be friends as she liked someone else, but wanted me to stay the few days so we could work on being friends. FML

Yes but have you ever noticed that when you do cross that line from friend to bf/gf the things that never bothered you before about that person suddently become the most annoying thing in the world to you. Then inevitably one of them changes-usually the girl. And before you now it you're breaking up and you have lost your best friend. It sucks but it happens.
