Today, my boss asked for recommendations on how to improve the office. I sent her an e-mail full of my ideas. Later, my boss sent me a reply, saying, "Here's what head office thinks of your ideas." It contained a list of insults upper management made about me. FML

Upper-management was right. Despite what you think, unblocking **** on the computers wasn't a good idea.

That's exactly why below your ideas, you don't put "This place sucks." :p

That kind of treatment is illegal in Canada, forward the e-mail with a formal complaint to your union or to the human rights board if you are not in a union. If your company has an HR department you can also talk to them about this.

Your boss at least sent you the response so you could see what the upper management said about you. Then again, that can either be a good thing OR a bad thing.

Your direct boss sounds snarky...that is not a productive way to handle employee morale and they might not approve of her even sharing their emails...hm?

Either everyone in upper management is a close-minded blowhard, or your ideas were idiotic. Usually, if management gets ideas that range from mediocre to crappy, they'll usually give you the standard "we will take it under advisement" BS to get you to go away. If they went to the effort of insulting you, your ideas must have been so laughable that the idiot theory is the most likely one.

That was an epic win. I will buy 10 of them.

Does your boss hate you too, or trying to help? Read those comments carefully; learn them and live them. Also, keep your head down and keep quiet until you've redeemed yourself.
