I would retain a lawyer. You have grounds to file a major claim for up to 2 years salary. You can also issue a restraining order against the company to prevent any negative references and in fact enforce a positive one. And the phone support guy was correct. The timelines don't add up. You were set up.

Definitely look into reporting him...know any higher ups you can talk to? Dude's clearly got issues if he would go to that extent to call a sex line on an employees phone and then let them get fired over it.
