Today, my boyfriend came home, chugged a beer, and passed out in our bed without saying hello or goodnight to me. I've been on vacation for a week and was hoping to cuddle. But no, if I try to touch him, he hits me and growls. FML

And you're with him because...?

Growls? That's what you get for dating a dog.

I put up with that from a cat who did not want to be held, moved, or otherwise bothered. He would bite you and growl. But he was just a cat - not a "rational being". Wait till Romeo wakes up and then explain to him he is an angry drunk, and if he insists on drinking then hitting and growling at you, then you are done - get your crap out and go away.

Wait, he HIT you? Uh...that's abuse and you should leave him and report it depending on how hard he hit you. Like, is he being exceedingly violent to the point of bruising? Or is he just playfully slapping you (which I doubt considering the dumbass is probably drunk as a skunk and will hurt you even if he doesn't realize it)? Don't just sit there and take that OP, do something about it.

I see both sides of this coin. On one side, relationships ARE hard work and they shouldn't just give up after a fight. But on the other, dating is the time to figure out what you want and don't want, and what's the point of staying in a relationship in which your needs aren't being met? I see way too many young couples stay together even though they make each other miserable because they think it will get better if they keeping working at it when in reality, they're just not right for each other. That said, marriage is totally different. If you go as far as to make that commitment you should stick by it for the long haul.

That relationship obviously has no communication. My husband would never act like that and would tell me when he's tired. Obviously you don't know how a relationship works.

Well said clemcool, she's not married to the jerk and she's not happy, she needs to think about the future now

Passed out after one beer? ******' lightweight. Trade up to a man who can hold his liquor. Don't worry, maintaining consciousness after one beer is a very low bar.

Maybe because you were whoring around with other guys instead of going on a vacation with him. He has learnt to live without you. You deserved this
