Today, my boyfriend came over with a broken engraved bracelet that I paid 50 dollars for. I was so angry but when I stated "I am going to call them and get a new one!" my boyfriend said back to me "No it's okay, I didn't really like it anyways." It was for our 2 year anniversary. FML

Some guys aren't into wearing bracelets and such. You should already know by now what he likes and doesn't like.

Ok commenters. Stop assuming her bf doesn't wear bracelets at all. Maybe he just digs the hemp kind with wooden beads versus a metal one? But yes, OP, its hard to find any guy willing to wear personalized jewelry. If your going to personalize something, get him a jersey from his fav team with his name or something :)

ydi seriously lol why couldn't u just buy him a nice tie haha

YDI for buying a GUY a bracelet. next time get him a nice WATCH.

Jeeze. You must be the kind of girl who likes to give him hickies, too, right? Feel the need to mark your man? Blech!

wedding rings and watches are the only acceptable forms of male jewelry.

Seriously, you bought him a bracelet? AND AN ENGRAVED ONE @ THAT! I am a women & even I think that is gay! All you r really doing is marking ur territory. You can't get a ring outta him after 2 yrs and u know damn well he wouldn't wear a ring if you bought him one SO you went for the safer TAG...

OP, yes, it sucks that he didn't like something you got for him, and tried to make special (by the engraving). But don't be too offended. He didn't like your gift, but he wore it anyways for you, often enough that it ended up breaking, even though he didn't like it. Haven't you ever gotten a really terrible gift from someone you cared about, and loved it anyways because of who gave it to you? If it broke, you might be sad that you lost a gift from someone you love, but you wouldn't ask them to replace it. If it hasn't happened to you yet, I can guarantee that if/when you have kids, you will get LOTS of ugly or useless (or both) gifts that you'll love anyways.

I meant to say, if you want to get him a personalized something, see and look at what he could use, instead of getting something just because you think it's cool. Get him something that might get himself, even if you never had met, and then personalize it. My fiance drinks a lot of coffee, so I got him a personalized mug for one of our anniversaries. He likes to keep framed photographs all over the place, so I got him some frames, and enlarged some of his favorites, for Christmas one year. I didn't personalize the frames, but I know that you can get them done. Just look around. Eventually you'll find something.

we don't know that he wore it until it broke this could have been written a few days after and he broke it so he wouldn't have to wear it....

Made by my little sisters, but yes, worn a whole ton of them. I hadn't thought about him trying to break it on purpose, but I guess that could have happened.
