Today, my boyfriend came over with a broken engraved bracelet that I paid 50 dollars for. I was so angry but when I stated "I am going to call them and get a new one!" my boyfriend said back to me "No it's okay, I didn't really like it anyways." It was for our 2 year anniversary. FML

Some guys aren't into wearing bracelets and such. You should already know by now what he likes and doesn't like.

Two years=50 bucks? lucky he doesn't dump your butt.

You bought a guy a bracelet? Wtf were you thinking, woman? Maybe he should buy you a $50 engraved bowling ball for your third anniversary, let's see what you think of that.

suck it up buttercup Just because you bought it does not mean he is obligated to like it. Jewelry is one of the worst gifts to buy for a man because they are very picky about what they like and there is very little they are willing to wear. Now put on your big girl panties and just be glad that you have a man who's willing to be honest with you.

You gave your boyfriend a bracelet? Who did you think you were dating? The Situation? And to the person who commented that the guy should dump her for only spending $50 on a two-year anniversary present - that's actually pathetic. Seriously, you've been out with guys who would dump you for not spending 'enough' on a stupid anniversary? Some people aren't that shallow.

"Two years=50 bucks? lucky he doesn't dump your butt." and "You are cheap." What the ****? First off, I shouldn't even need to state that it's the sentiment and not the monetary value of a gift that counts. How superficial and shallow are you people? For all you know, OP is making minimum wage and can barely pay rent, or maybe she's still in high school or college. Not everyone can afford hundred dollar gifts- it might have taken her months to save up that much.

YDI for thinking that a guy would actually want a bracelet for their anniversary or any type of gift...at least he was honest

Maybe he broke it because he wanted an excuse to not wear it..

it couldn't have been to nice if it was only $50
