my best friend is a guy and, while he and my boyfriend don't exactly get along for personal reasons, I don't have to choose between them. actually, almost all my friends are guys and my bf doesn't have an issue with it. so why don't you get your head out of your ass and realize that just because one is female, doesn't mean she should only have female friends.

wow 82...that's real nice.. I have a male best friend.we've been friends for 8 years. I've been married for two years, (hubby and i have been together for four years if you count when we were dating) and my hubby gets along with my best friend. my best friend is like my twin brother, and there has never been any romantic interest there. so yes, guys and girls can be friends.. and op, your best friend sounds awesome! :(
