I dont see the issue. He owned up, faced you, spared you the transport of going on ''neutral'' ground, respected you enough not to break-up over the phone/internet. It's over, it happened between two mature persons. And now your house is clean. Call your friends and open a bottle of wine, OP.

It was nice of him not to make you go all the way to his place or spend money going out to dinner. Also, it was nice that he didn't dump you through text or email. So the way I see it is it could have been worse. Proabably a good idea to vacuum every once in a while anyway.

The way I understand this fml is that the op preferred having a dirty, cat hair infested home, and was just mad at ex boyfriend for being a catalyst for positive change. OP, F Everyone's Life who has to deal with your filth.

That is a harsh way of reading this FML. Op only meant that all the hard work in cleaning the ENTIRE house for the guy went down the drain. Hats off to her for being caring enough to do that for her boy friend's comfort. Or ex-boy friend. Anyway, there's no reason to be so damn critical about this.
