OOps. Sounds like a communication error. The way your write this, it clearly sounds like you didn't realize he had another girlfriend and honestly had no idea that you were the 'other woman'. I hope you left right then and there. If not, I hope there's some way that you can get her number, call her up, and let her know that until 'now' you were 'the other woman' and that you're very sorry because you had no idea. Make it clear that it wasn't your fault and that you didn't know but that you wouldn't be seeing him anymore. Make it clear to her that he doesn't deserve to see EITHER of you anymore.

Yeah, he is a douche for sure, but hopefully you didn't need random strangers on the internet to tell you that. #9, I don't think there's really any insurance that if you "pick a partner more carefully", you won't get hurt. People (guys AND girls) do not-so-nice things like that sometimes, and it's hard to be prepared for it. (especially if you're really into someone... you tend to have an idealized vision of them in your mind, because you want it to work out so badly.) The only thing you can really do is try to learn from the situation and move on. It's not worth brooding over.

#36 I just hate the way its said! #17 said "Sweety, you deserve better than a jerk like that. Guys like that make me sick!" to me #7 assumes that every guys could act like this, unlike #17 whos pointing only at the guys who really cheat on their girlfriends... But you may be right Im just a lil french guy so maybe i havent got some nuances. Despite everything I still think what i said and i still can't stand girls who maintain that men are cheaters and women are angels...
