Today, my boyfriend of 4 years told me he was leaving me because we haven't slept together in a few weeks. I just gave birth to our first child and am still recovering from my c-section. FML

#38 No one mentioned religion. a person can be against having an abortion for non-religious reasons and to claim that it is "stupid" to consider the morality behind taking away the opportunity for life from an unborn child is ignorant and immature. That is something I would hope every woman considers before making that kind of choice.

True. Not every reasoning against abortion is religion based. But I never said it was. I just said some people. And to see a birth through when the child is unwanted is selfish to do it thinking that you can't take away the unborn child's opportunity at life. If you wanted to give the child the best opportunity in life then you should wait til you can provide the best life for said child. Bringing a child into an already broken home is reckless and stupid. The single parent could end up at some level resenting the child for making them give up on their hopes and dreams. And what about your opportunity at life? Are you suggesting that some foetus has more right to life than the mother?

You consider it an "unwanted child" simply because the father doesn't want it? There are two parents you know. If she wants it, he has to man up and deal with it. That's life. Or maybe you think she's not allowed to want it unless she can support it alone. Equally pathetic and inhuman. You should be ashamed of yourself.

beat him. my husband threatened the same thing after the birth of our son (I had a c section too) an the dr still said no sex for 6 weeks. but even after that I was so tired from having to care for a new born that it still didn't happen but he stuck around cuz I think with my mood at the time I wouldve killed him had he left. but good luck hope you and the baby are ok and he has to pay big for being an ass.

@BLNovelist If she was with him for 4 years, he couldn't have been that much of an "asshole" in her eyes. So, yeah, I'll condemn her to a relationship with him -- she's been with him for a long time by her own free will. I don't see why society should have to support her because he made some inappropriate requests. It's not my tax money, I don't live in California. You've got bitches like the OP and the Octo-Mom out there and you wonder why the state is going bankrupt!

I'm pretty sure going 'If you won't let me **** you, see ya!' qualifies as more then just a poor and inappropriate choice on his part - he obviously held no love or care for her if she was nothing more then a **** buddy to him - which of course possibly wouldn't show in those four years if they had a steady sex life and a 'caring' relationship. Even if he is a good person overall - how could you wish her to stay with someone when she now knows what he will do if he doesn't get his way? And what kind of person is that to have around a growing child? That's a good lesson, I'm sure!

I'm not saying the dude is a quality catch by any stretch of the imagination. She evidently wanted to be with him for four years, so she must think something positive about the jerk. And she claims that he has been with her for that long span (there's no knowing whether either party cheated during that time), so he appears to have liked her for that time. Maybe he is just looking for an excuse to get out of fatherhood (which is the greatest thing ever, so he's really a dumb ****) or maybe he's just got a serious case of blue balls. If it is the latter, a minimal amount of attention could have defused the whole FML!

Heeeeere We go. Every time I See an FML, I see you (Plexico) getting the community riled up. Do You really give that much of a shit about the topics here, or does it just that make you feel grand to get enrage folks?

Genius, your state is going bankrupt because of the bailouts going back for more than three decades, rotten fiscal policies, worthless turds sitting in Congress, a war that never should have gone on this long regardless of what you believe about how it started, and too many more giant colossal fuckups by our federal and state governments over the past several decades. Single moms on welfare wouldn't even show on a spending chart in proportion to the billions being flushed down the massive toilet called Washington D.C. And you're assuming that she doesn't have family to help her out anyway.

I don't really give a shit about the topics. I think there are a lot of fakes, mostly exaggerations and embellishments. I like to make the funny, or make a point that swims against the current. If you look at the comments, it is as if groupthink has become a worldwide plague. Very little original thought goes into the vast majority of comments. Next time any of you get the urge to comment "That sucks," please keep it to yourself. You are clogging the Internet with nothingness. All the comments tend to flow one way or the other. I like to take the side of an OP who is getting beaten up by the commenters, or jump down the throat of one who is winning everyone's sympathy. I do feel special introducing critical thinking to the herd, but I wouldn't go so far as to say "grand."

Ooohhhhhhhhh. Well I Love Your honesty, I can't lie.

Jazzy, Don't worry, most times I'll probably be on your side. Today, I was just in that kind of mood. ;)

=) *sighs* See That is why I like to give people chances before going apeshit... So many people are arguing with you but you're a total sweetheart!

Ah, the eternal Devil's advocate. There should always be at least one person in every comment thread to take the unpopular side. I applaud you on your use of free speech :)

At least he wanted to have sex with you! Not that he should have left, that sucks. Better to know now how unsupportive he is. You don't want to raise a baby and a husband - trust me.

FreedomFirst 0

So do rapists. Is THAT a desirable relationship? Get a clue. I agree about the raising a baby and a husband thing, though.

Wow, he's an idiot if thats the best excuse he could come up with. Its obvious he was just trying to find a way out, but he really should have made up a better reason than that. At least you'll be able to get child support from him and find someone better.

lissygirl 0

he was obviously just with you for the sex. what a fucken loser. four years? guys will be guys.

@lissygirl "guys will be guys"? You sure as hell haven't had much real life experience

He probably just wasn't ready to be a father and just used that as a way out.
